The Young Republicans (YRs) are the oldest political youth organization in the United States, representing a nationwide grassroots network for individuals aged 18 to 40 who identify with the Republican Party. Their core mission is to recruit, train, and mobilize young professionals to elect Republican candidates, promote conservative values, and develop future political leaders .
Target Demographic: Specifically aimed at young professionals, activists, and registered Republicans aged 18–40.
History: Founded in 1856 to support the newly formed Republican Party and the abolitionist movement, it was formally organized as the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF) in 1931.
Political Activities: YRs are heavily involved in grassroots campaigning, political activism, and advocacy for conservative policies at local, state, and national levels.

Train & Develop: Providing training for political leadership, with a strong record of producing future governors, senators, and community leaders.

Young adults in Lyon County — especially ages 18–40 — are dealing with a very different set of challenges than older generations. Many are trying to build careers, buy homes, raise families, and stay involved in the community while facing rising costs and limited local opportunities.
Lyon County Young Republicans give younger adults a structured way to learn civic process, camaraderie, meet local leaders, volunteer in campaigns, attend public meetings, discuss policy, serve in local initiatives, to build the next generation of community leadership.
